Game Classification

Iwanaga is a platform shooter that borrows game mechanics from Alien Soldier and Sin & Punishment, two classic console games by Treasure. Each area in the game consists of a short battle with numerous small enemies, followed by a longer boss battle. Your character in the game is armed with a sword, which can be used to destroy bullets, and a gun, which can fire two types of weapons. Prolonged use of a weapon weakens it, and powers up the other weapon. Enemies drop orange power-ups, which restore health, and blue power-ups, which increase your weapon power and time limit.
