A LEGO Technic set (i.e. real bricks) with a special radio controlled, fully programmable brick (the "P-Brick") forming the heart of the models which can be made with the set.
There is a CD-ROM with the set that contains game and activity software. Through this software the PC communicates with, and controls the P-Brick. The player interacts with both the PC and the physical model they've built. After installing the software the player is presented with a city on a "LEGO World" and given a tour by a local taxi driver, this tour shows the player the main areas (activities) available:
1) The Colosseum: the human player constructs a (physical) LEGO weapon called a "stinger" and a robot called "crusher". The idea of the game is for the player to use the stinger to hit one of three sensors on the robot. The robot AI and gameplay is controlled by the PC.
2) Area 51: the player is shown how to build models such as bulldozers and fork lift trucks, then plan activities and try challenges for them in a map design/remote control view.
3) Joes Garage: the player is encouraged to invent and program their own robotic models.
