Two years have gone by since Luka and his gang met a medieval time traveller in Luka und das geheimnisvolle Silberpferd and helped him/her to travel back to the past on the back of a mysterious silver horse, thus completing his/her crown quest, and ascend the throne.
Luka and friends are close to the teen age now, when one day they find an ages-old book hidden within their secret headquarters. It quickly turns out that this diary was left by their medieval visitor two years ago, and it contains a riddle written in Latin which will lead the adventurers to some old castle ruins, and to the treasure that had been hidden there for them centuries ago.
Luka und der verborgene Schatz is the second game in a series of classical point-and-click adventures published by the crime prevention unit of the German Police. Where the first game taught younger kids a violence-free look at the world, the second game tries to tackle the issue that nearly every teenager will face sooner or later: Alcohol and other drugs. The game is aimed at children between 10 and 13 years of age and will introduce the growing-ups to the unlovely results of drug use, especially the loss of control after too much drinking. Embedded in the main storyline of the game, the protagonists will meet hash and alcohol users slightly older than them, and see how the drug consumption harms those.
Luka and the Hidden Treasure (translation) can be played as a boy or girl which broadens the target audience.
