An updated version of the classic educational game Granny's Garden was released with enhanced graphical and sound capabilities for modern computers, allowing children of today to enjoy the game's content without being distracted by its bizarrely low-tech assets. For adults with disposable income and burning nostalgia, however, 4-Mation also put together this: a re-release of the 1983 BBC micro original, reproducing every blocky pixel and bleep in impeccably high fidelity to the first time around -- because it actually is the original BBC version of the game, run through a custom Beeb emulator for Windows after no existing emulator could be found that faithfully emulated all of the hardware tweaks and loopholes the original exploited.
Gameplay is precisely as the parent entry describes: exploring a fantasy land and navigating multiple-choice puzzles with simple text input.
