Buku Kakuro is a PC translation of the logic game Kakuro. It is similar to a crossword puzzle but instead of letters the player has to put numbers into the grids. The numbers have to result in a certain number when added up. Another restriction is that every digit can't be used more than once in a calculation.
On the right side of the screen are all digits listed and when the player clicks on one and than clicks on a grid it gets filled out with the digit. It is also possible to type them in with the keyboard. There are several help functions available, e.g. filling in single digits or giving all possible combinations for a row. The puzzles are generated randomly and the player can choose their size and difficulty. There is also an editor to create own puzzles or solve ones found in magazines.
