The application is broken into to segments: the toolkit and the game. The toolkit provides tools to track progress and begin to understand the patterns of each individuals addiction.
The toolkit includes:
Set and track craving levels over daily and over the length of a quit.
Compare craving levels over time and over multiple quits.
Track cigarette monetary savings over time.
List reasons to quit, and search a database for more reasons.
List known triggers, and search a database for more triggers.
List tips for quitting, and search a database for more tips.
Restart quits and track and compare data across quits.
In addition to the toolkit, My Quit Kit includes a unique game, Khemia, designed to aid in dealing with a craving. The game is easy to play, but not easy to master and is intended to last the 5 to 10 minutes it takes for a typical craving to pass. The gameplay is a simple timing based shooting game. The player uses the mouse to aim at a target. When the mouse is clicked a burst of energy is launched at the target. The targets travel following slow moving patterns. The challenge is to time the release of the target to intersect the pattern.
The game features:
Two play modes. Countdown mode is for players who like to shoot a lot. Shot Count mode is for players who like precision and planning.
Twenty-five unique, unlockable patterns.
Five levels of difficulty, though all five levels are accessible for the first pattern.
High scores, and bonuses for hitting special targets and scoring perfect rounds.
