The 3rd Millennium is a simulation game which places you as a political leader in the year 2001 (near future at the time of release). The world has evolved into 31 different states divided over 5 large countries. Your goal is to become governor of your state and eventually president of the entire world.

To achieve this you will need to build cities (building by building), collect taxes, negotiate deals with other world leaders, pass social reforms and run for grander offices. The more power you acquire, the more options become available to you to pave the road to presidency. You basically have full control over your country and can play for up to five hundred years.
