Allegory tasks the player with protecting a small cube known the 'the follower' as it travels along a series of lines of varying length and direction. Only two lines will be on screen at one time, the line the follower is on and the next line, with additional lines appearing when the follower end of the current line it is on. The player protects the follower by guiding a second, larger cube to deflect incoming missiles that are being drawn towards the follower. Points are awarded based on how many the player deflects away from the follower. The player has limited use power ups called 'Slowdowns' available for use, which slows the game play down and gives the player extra time to reach the incoming missiles. [source:mobygames]
