The fourth tale in the Grimm series is about the three sons of a miller who have to divide his possessions after his death. The oldest claims the mill and lets his younger brother work for him, while the young one is left behind with nothing more than a cat. The feline is however made of the finest cunning and upon receiving boots, he sets out to bring riches to his master. This is achieved by tricking the king using rabbits, with a lot of monarchal loathing, convincing him his master owns a lot of land, sneakily depriving an ogre of his castle and eventually have the princess fall in love with the boy.
Even though Grimm is impressed with the cat's wit, he decides to make the tale more gruesome, starting with the true cause behind the father's death and generally shedding a lot of blood along the way. Gameplay is identical to the earlier games in the series, with locations mostly set in the woods and a castle. An entirely new setting is a maze inside a cave. New to this edition is a speed power-up that allows Grimm to run much faster. It is required in areas where there are too many cleaners.
