Ancient Empires Lux is a turn-based strategy game that is heavily based on the board game Risk. Starting from a map divided into different regions, the objective of each game is to conquer the whole map and eliminate all other players. The basic principle: in every round players can divide and move their troops to adjourning regions respectively attack them. The combat result is decided by the number of attacking and defending soldiers. Every victory reward cards which can be collected and traded for new troops, along with the automatic refreshments after every round. Additions are heavily fortified cities (hard to conquer but give better cards), sea routes and trade routes which allow to quickly travel from city to city.
The game is similar to its predecessor Lux, but this time features ten different campaigns that revolve around ancient empires such as the Roman Empire, Greece, Zhou Dynasty, and Babylonia.
