ANSTOSS 3: Der Fußballmanager is the third main game in the German ANSTOSS series. The player takes care of the financial and athletic success of his soccer club. For this purpose, most time is spent in menus (the player can switch between the menu bar known from predecessor, a text menu or an office) to work on the various possibilities, e.g. training, tactics, transfers, merchandising, and so on. The player also can take the role of a national coach. The matches are either watched in a full 3D representation or in the text mode in which all interesting match situations are described in text form.

This installment is based on ANSTOSS 2 and adds new features and possibilities for practically every menu point. Examples are the simulated private life of the athletes with about 200 individual character abilities, relationships between players or more possibilities for managing youth teams. The player also has total control over the club compound; he can construct many buildings which may or may not have a relationship to soccer or a financial gain, including up to three stadiums.
