Arcanoid is a freeware Breakout game, so you have to clear a level filled with different colored bricks with the ball you control with your paddle by bouncing it back into the playfield when it is about to leave the field. Once all bricks are gone, you proceed with the next level. And once all your lives are gone, you have lost the game.

Like other Breakout games, this one offers many different power-ups, like multiball, paddle expander, fireball (destroys all bricks in its way), laser or rocket equipment and many more.

There are also special bricks in the game, like explosive bricks or bricks which can only be destroyed from one side. [source:mobygames]
