Baby Sidney sits, immobilized in her infant activity centre with its array of shiny, noisy and stimulating plastic distractions. And yet what Sidney craves most are cuddles (as with us all?) from her mother, Susan, distracted in turn filling out a crossword puzzle on the other side of the room. But how to get her attention?
Throwing a fit is beneath us, so we can rule it out right off the bat. It turns out that, due to some mix-up at the factory (... or perhaps due to the onset of terrifying nascent telekinetic powers), the activity centre acts as a control panel of sorts for the living room. The actions of twiddling and manipulating the various fobs within the reach of the baby's Black & White-ian hand will produce various equal and opposite reactions in the room, some of which, slowly and steadily, will assist the baby in achieving her nefarious goals... of motherly hugs. What could be more wholesome? (... or is it?)
