Game Classification

Black and White is a puzzle game where the player controls two cats, one black and one white, simultaneously. Generally they start on opposite sides of the screen and each action performed by the player for the black cat, is mirrored for the white one. Through mechanics of platforms, blocks and switches both cats need to reach a gate to finish the level which are generally asymmetric. The areas do not need to be exited simultaneously, but sometimes it is not possible to complete the area when the other cat is already gone. The game is entirely in black and white, with chiptune music. Controls consists of movement keys with an additional one to jump. When stuck, the level can be reset. [source:mobygames]
