Aliens: Thanatos Encounter Aliens: Thanatos Encounter is a top-down action game released in 2001 for the Game Boy Color. The action takes place aboard a spaceship named Thanatos that has been infested with aliens. Players can assume the role of one of five colonial marines (each with their own unique attributes) as they work to clear each stage of aliens. If the player's life is depleted, that marine is "captured" and must be rescued from an alien nest hidden in the stage. Extra weapons and health boosts can be picked up during gameplay, and power loaders (as seen in the film Aliens) can also be used against the alien threat. Additionally, players must rescue ship crewmembers, some of whom are infected with alien chestbursters and will 'burst' upon rescue, ambushing the player's marine. [source:wikipedia]
