Cannon Smash is a freeware, open-source 3D table tennis game with support for solo-play against computer opponents and multiplayer through LAN or internet. Players control their avatars with the mouse, moving and positioning their translucent figures near the table. The player's tennist is shown from the back with two large reticles floating at the front. These red circles are used to aim the racket and hit the incoming balls, with the mouse buttons swinging the paddle left and right. The ball's future trajectory is drawn on the screen to make aiming easier.
The configuration menu has several customization options, where the player can choose between four difficulty levels for the artificial intelligence, set games of five, eleven or twenty-one points, and make the avatar transparent or rendered with wireframe graphics.
