Christmas Crisis is a top-down, holiday themed arcade game in which the player takes the role of one of Santa's many elves during a holiday catastrophe.
Santa Claus has grown very ill at a most inopportune moment, that of the Christmas holiday, and now will most likely be unable to deliver this year's Christmas gifts. With Mrs. Claus at a loss to cure him the player is chosen to take the place of Saint Nick in delivering the many presents to deserving children across the world. Not being a fully fledged holiday mascot, however, this won't be a simple task.
As Santa's enchanted sleigh flies past various neighborhoods the player is required to lob gifts at the individual houses, bringing the inhabitants Christmas cheer. Being only so strong, however, the player can only toss presents within a certain radius of their location, requiring them to fly from point to point before the ever-scrolling screen causes the buildings to disappear, all the while dodging such airborne dangers as aircraft that threaten your existence.
If at any point the player fails to deliver presents to at least seventy percent of the houses they'll have ruined Christmas, resulting in a Game Over.
