Chronostorm: Conflict of Time is set in a fictional scenario of the near future: In 2015 there is a war between Russia and China. During the 14 missions lasting campaign the player takes control over the Russian forces to end this conflict. The unique part of the game are the weapons which can manipulate the time: examples for their usage are the freezing of enemy units or calling additional troops from the past (World War II tanks) or the future (Mechs). Another exceptional feature is the cel shading look.
The rest of the game offers the established mechanics of real-time strategy games: the player constructs a base with various buildings which have their unique uses, e.g. building troops, defending the base or energy supply. This costs money which is earned by conquering bunkers on the map. The mission goals are usually to defend a certain point or to destroy the enemy.
