A reporter for the City Sights Magazine has ten days to tour Seattle and write an article about the city.
City Sights: Hello, Seattle! is a hidden object game with tourist locations of Seattle as the theme. The main objective of each scene is to find and click on all the items listed at the bottom of the screen, on places filled with assorted things scattered around the scenery. The list is divided in three tabs labeled easy, medium and hard. The objects are organized by difficulty, with more obvious items listed on the easier sections. Easy objects give 1,000 points when found, while medium and hard ones give 2,000 and 3,000 points respectively. There's a time limit of ten minutes per location, and an unlimited hint button that highlights the position of one of the required items, but takes some time to recharge after use.
At the start of each scene, a clipboard appears with a list of assignments. Some are optional, while others are necessary to complete the location and move to the next place. The assignments are extra tasks and conditions required to receive a trophy, like finding several instances of the same object, not using the hint button, completing the location under five minutes, avoid random clicking and similar challenges. In some places, the screen is split in two nearly identical images, and the goal is to click on all the differences.
