Nina: Agent Chronicles is yet another Eastern European FPS imported and distributed as a budget title in the United States. This Lithtech engine shooter places you in the role of Nina, an operative for "The Center" with the unique ability to read the minds of her enemies.
Nina (portrayed by Polish model Iza Czarnecka) must fight her way through 9 missions in a plot that may involve terrorists and a stolen nuclear rifle. Some enemies will have key information that can be drained from their mind. You'll know which ones because the mission fails when you shoot them and you have to start over. Unlike most shooters, Nina does not scavenge guns from her kills. At the start of each level, she is equipped with one pistol and one automatic weapon. Although she can find ammunition, her loadout will not change and she will not pick up any additional weapons (at one point, she even refuses to steal an important looking briefcase because she needs her free hand for reloading).
Hardcore gamers will be pleased by the many instant death traps, the lack of player controlled save games, and the complete absence of cheat codes. Casual gamers will enjoy hearing Nina's amazing accent (a Pole who learned English from the Irish) over and over again each time they reload after a death.
