A campfire burns in the middle of a black screen, giving off sparks that burn away at an unseen background. The player must use the mouse to drag the sparks back to the fire, making it burn brighter. As the fire becomes brighter, more of the background image can be seen, while sparks not gathered up in time will burn away at the background, affecting the overall score.
Consume was created as part of the Global Game Jam by team Sardinemen (located in Angouleme, France). The Global Game Jam was an event where teams from all over the world were each tasked with creating a game in 48 hours.
