Cossacks II: Battle for Europe is an stand-alone expansion pack for the real time strategy game Cossacks II: Napoleonic Wars. Like its predecessor the game is set in the 18th-19th century and involves Europe and parts of Africa. The player can play various different Nations, all of which have their own units and available tactics. The expansion includes various new nations such as Spain, Poland and Saxony. Like Napoleonic Wars the game has less focus on building an army and more on large scale battles featuring many units. Factors like morale, fatigue and terrain play factors in the outcome of each battle. This expansion pack features four new campaigns and a number of historical battlefields, including Waterloo and Borodino.
In between the campaign levels the player is treated to a map of 19th century Europe on which he can opt to attack regions in turn based style. The combat is then resolved in real time. [source:mobygames]
