D-Day: Normandy is a freeware World War II first person shooter that takes place in the war's famous landings on Normandy, France on D-Day, June 6, 1944. Originally a Quake II modification, it later became a standalone game using Quake II's id Tech 2 engine. It is primarily a multiplayer game, but also features singleplayer gameplay with bots. You can play as the Axis or Allies as one of nine classes in Quake-style teamplay with set objectives for each map, such as obtaining points or capturing an area.
