Game Classification

Dictator Wars was a simulation game on Facebook where players assumed the role of a dictator of an unnamed country and were tasked with governing it by completing a series of assigned missions. Missions required energy and items; completing missions unlocked further items that could be used in the completion of higher-level missions. Players also had the option of completing "Foreign Affair" missions; these were missions that required the cooperation of a friend who also played Dictator Wars. One player would begin the mission and it would be up to the friend to finish the mission within eighteen hours.

Players amassed money by buying property. Money was used to purchase needed personnel and weaponry for missions. Weaponry was also necessary for attacking other players; a random selection of other dictators was presented to the player and they could choose to attack or invade that player's property. A successful invasion resulted in damage to the property, lowering its worth to the invaded player and requiring repair (at a cost) to regain the value.

The game was removed from Facebook in December 2009 when the developer decided to pursue other projects. [source:mobygames]
