Dynasty is a fast-paced puzzle game with Oriental themes. The mouse cursor is shaped like a dragon's head, with the other body parts of the creature trailing along with each movement. Most of the screen is occupied by tracks, twisting from the top to the bottom towards the gaping mouth of a stone idol. Multicolored spheres keep rolling on these tracks towards the hole, and the objective is to use the dragon to drag and drop the balls along the tracks, switching their places to form groups of three or more of the same color, to make them disappear. If several marbles manage to enter the idol, the game is over.

Dragon eggs appear randomly on the tracks. They hatch when used in a match liberating a small dragon that acts as a power-up, flying over the line destroying spheres and dropping golden coins that can be collected for bonus points. The blue dragon eats all the blue marbles, the red dragon devours random balls, the purple dragon eliminates all the spheres from the front of the line, the yellow dragon transforms regular stones into dragon eggs.

Some of the standard power-ups of the genre also appear on the string of spheres and are activated when used in a match. They slow the line speed, reverse the marbles movement or explode adjacent balls. The game has two modes: classic is the main one, where players complete levels of increasing difficulty, while survival is the endless mode, where the spheres never stop appearing and the goal is to achieve a high score.
