The Eskimo Fishing Trip is a freeware, open-source arcade game where the main objective is to use a fishing rod to capture all kinds of aquatic animals swimming around a small pond. The heads of the creatures keep bobbing up and down the surface, their mouths closing and opening while they revolve around a central feature.
The rod is controlled directly, with two buttons to pull and push the line, but no option to reel - to capture one of the animals, the player has to lower the line and bait at the exact moment their mouths are agape, and carefully lift them one by one until all are removed from the pond. They become highlighted in red while biting the bait. The baits can be lost, either swallowed by the creatures when the line snaps or eaten by them when floating over the water. The bait can be replaced by swinging the rod across the screen, but there's a limited supply for each level.
