Five Minutes to Kill (Yourself) 2 is the sequel to Five Minutes to Kill (Yourself), where once again the player takes control of Stan the office worker. This time around, he is trying to avoid his dreaded family reunion.
The gameplay is the same as the previous version, the player transverses through the levels (three in all: The Park, The Pavilion and The Beach) and find objects and people to help him in his task. Some objects are more obvious than others (i.e. the green arrow above them) while some are unmarked and are only activated once the player is within range of them.
The player can be attacked by people throughout the level, but some need objects in order to work, two of which can be chosen at the beginning of the game while others are found scattered throughout the levels. There is also a map and health indicator in the form of a "?" at the bottom of the screen, which is also used as a pause button.
The controls are also different for this version, whereas the previous version used the arrow keys on the keyboard to move and the "Space Bar" to activate objects, this time around the player uses the mouse button, clicking the left button on an area of the screen and holding to move Stan to that area and clicking on objects to activate them.
