Flora has recently moved to a new home in Clementine Valley and goes out to explore the surroundings. Not far off she finds a grove of fruit trees where her neighbour is busy working. Flora helps the old man and as a reward she is given a pair of magical gloves which are supposed to have the power to grow fruit with ease.
Flora's Fruit Farm is a time management game where Flora has to grow her trees and sell the fruit she gets from them. Each playing session starts with Flora having to grow his tree. This is done by simply fingering the stumps of the tree. For each day in the game Flora has three grow notes which can be replenished by serving customers. After the tree has grown a bit, fruit will pop up and customers will arrive. Similar to other time management games, the player clicks on the screen to perform actions. When fruit appears Flora can cut it down and put it on the stall and then serve it to one of the waiting customers. Serving is done by dragging the fruit to the right customer. Prior to cutting down the fruit, Flora can choose to do different kinds of magic to improve the quality of the fruit. This includes supersizing it with fairy dust or making it shiny with sparkle dust.
At the start of the game Flora can only grow apples, but between ordinary levels, there's mini-games where she can grow roots. By doing this she is able to find seeds that can be used for other fruits. Some customers have a favourite fruit, and by serving the right fruit to the the right customer Flora can get paid more. Some fruits have different characteristics for example they can rot or attract flies. For this there is different tricks that can be used. Flora can also grow flowers. Flowers attract butterflies which can have different effect on the fruit when clicked. For example, the monarch fly supersizes all fruit on the tree.
Flora starts out with her own cottage with place for three trees. After growing a number of trees and earning enough money, Flora will be able to move on to other plots in the valley and create more gardens. Money is also used for fairy dust which can be bought in between levels. It's also possible to buy different items to the garden. For example, a statue speeds up grow note replenishment while a gnome attracts more butterflies.
