Themed similarly to Clue, Foul Play: Mystery at Awkward Manor is a murder mystery. Sir John Stiffning invites 6 friends to his 14-room British mansion for dinner and one of them murders him before the meal can be served. It is up to you to find out who killed him, when and with what weapon.
Up to 6 players can attempt to solve the mystery, each taking on the role of a different guest and take turns exploring the mansion. Turns last only a few minutes in which time each player searches for clues and interactive objects. The first person to solve it wins the game.
There are 10 levels of play that can be chosen. Levels 1 through 3 contain built-in tutorials and take about 20 minutes to complete. Level 10 games take an hour or more to solve.
The developers advertise that there are 4,700 possible solutions. Designed for ages 7 and up, the game is non-violent and concentrates on promoting imaginative thinking and deductive reasoning. Foul Play is completely mouse controlled.
