Detana!! Twinbee / Bells & Whistles Detana!! TwinBee (???!! ?????, Detana!! Tsuinbii?, "Here Comes TwinBee!!") (distributed in Europe as Bells & Whistles), is a 1991 vertical-scrolling shooting game released for the arcades by Konami. Home versions were released for the PC Engine and X68000 platforms during the following year and is included in the compilations TwinBee Deluxe Pack for the PlayStation and Saturn and TwinBee Portable for the PlayStation Portable. The game is a sequel to the original TwinBee arcade game and its Famicom sequels. While not too different, gameplay wise, from its predecessors, Detana!! improves vastly on graphics and audio. It also introduces new characters, like Twinbee and Winbee's "pilots" (Light and Pastel, respectively) and other characters that will remain in the subsequent games. It was the most popular game in the series in Japan, and paved the way for some merchandise products (including audio dramas and an Original Video Animation). This also introduced cut scenes that played between stages, which usually introduced the characters, or showed Pastel and Winbee getting the one up on Light and Twinbee. [source:wikipedia]
