Gibo is a Japanese bishoujo ("pretty girl") adventure game translated into English by American publisher Peach Princess. You are Yousuke, a college-aged student who became emotionally damaged in youth from seeing your birth mother repeatedly engage in adulterous acts while your father was away.

Now, your father has decided to remarry. His lovely new wife, Misako, is moving with her daughter into the house you previously inhabited alone. Will you accept her as your mother, or will you use her to have your revenge on the mother who tormented you for so many years?

Gibo plays as a "Choose Your Own Adventure"-type game. The plot proceeds at its own pace, pausing occasionally to allow you to intervene by making a decision, resulting in a story branch. There are over 40 such decisions, leading to 13 different endings, some "good" and others bad.
