Game Classification

Golden Sub is a tile matching game where the player controls a submarine which collects coins. The game field is a grid where differently shaped symbols, e.g. shells or sea stars, are stacked together. The submarine has one symbol on top and the player aligns the submarine to the wished vertical row by using the mouse. With a click the symbol gets launched into the row and shoves the other symbols one field up. The upper most symbol vanishes.

If three symbols of the same shape are next to each other they vanish and the above above symbols take their place respectively get filled up with randomly generated symbols from the top of the screen. If a coin or power up, e.g. a machine gun or a time bomb, reaches the lower end of the grid if falls down and the player's submarine collects it. The goal of the about 100 levels is to collect all available coins. [source:mobygames]
