Gaby is a celebrity blogger that wants to have the most viewed site about famous people, to win a competition where a reclusive star called Eric Von Hunk will grant an exclusive interview for the owner of the most popular page. She must go to important events happening around town, and find her informants among the crowd to get all the gossip about the attending celebrities.

Gotcha: Celebrity Secrets is a seek-and-find game featuring a cartoon parody of celebrity culture and vapid lifestyles as the main theme. As the celebrity blogger, most of the time the objective is to find and click on all the informants among the throngs of people attending movie premieres, dinners, parties and other events. The screen shows a static scene with all the attendees, and a list at the bottom with pictures, outlines or clues about the informants.

Besides the informants, there are other people and items that give extra points and other bonuses when collected. Gabrielle and a special character or item are present in every scene of a chapter, as well as five stars that can be optionally found and collected for more points. The game has no time limit, but quick players are rewarded with a expert time bonus for finishing the scene before the time meter below the list is completely full. Clocks found on the scenery slow down the meter for a few seconds. The hint button shows the position of one of the guests, but takes some time to recharge after use.

Each location ends with a mini-game that takes place on a separate screen, where the player has to reconstruct the face of a celebrity's bride using the information received from the gossipers, select the correct celebrity picture from a set on a mobile phone by asking questions to the informants, find and click on all the differences between two similar images, assemble a picture puzzle, put a series of items in correct order, decorate a wedding cake, take pictures of celebrities when they appear on the scene, find the combination of an electronic lock with a code-breaking game, uncover pairs of dishes in a memory game, and other similar challenges.
