Despite its name Grand Hotel Manager is no tycoon game. The player takes the role of a hotel manager and needs to assign his guests to the correct employee. Every guest has an icon over its head which tells how satisfied he is. If he is not the player clicks on him to see what he wants. Then he clicks on the appropriate employee, e.g. the bartender if the guest is thirsty, and everything is well again. The goal of the six missions is to keep the hotel running for a fixed time. Of course this gets harder and harder during the course of the game. It also features extensive ingame advertising by the games' sponsor; the German hotel reservation service provider HRS.
