Grow Grow is a fish survival game similar to Shark! Shark! and Feeding Frenzy. The player takes control of a tiny little fish who wants nothing more than to eat and grow and become larger. The player controls the fish through the water from a side view. To survive a level the fish has to eat all other fishes in the water. It can only eat fishes that are smaller than itself, but the more it eats the more it grows until it is large enough to eat any fish. The player can pick up bubbles to get power-ups. This include for example temporary growth and speed increases. Eaten fish drop coins that can be used in a shop to buy power-up upgrades. Movement can be done in three different ways, tilting the device, using a virtual joystick, or by touch and move.

Two game mode exist. The adventure mode consists of 64 levels in seven different locations, from a small jug to the vast oceans. The goal here is simply to advance to the next level and unlock more locations. The other mode is survival where the player simply has to stay alive as long as possible.
