Hedgehog Launch is in the style Turkey Fling where player has only one goal, to launch Minovia the Hedgehog into space using a sling shot and a set of rockets. The player starts out with $50.00 and can grab extra money by steering Minovia into coins scattered through the screen, ranging from $0.25 to $5.00 and get an extra launch by landing on platforms that range from $1.00 to $10.00.

The player uses this money to upgrade the slingshot, more fuels for the rockets, an emergency rocket that will give the player an extra boost of speed, a radar that shows the player the location of the platforms and a parachute that will slow the player down. After each run, the money is added up and bonus are added depending on how high the hedgehog traveled and how long it stayed in the air.

The controls are simplistic, using the mouse button to click onto the hedgehog and pulling down and releasing to launch the hedgehog into the air, using the left and right keyboard buttons to steer, the up button to fire the emergency rocket and the down button to deploy the parachute.
