Mystery at Mansfield Manor is another rendition of the parlor murder mystery game, Clue, presented as an interactive movie. Real actors and actresses play the roles in this browser game.
Frank Mitchell is a police detective who is called in post-retirement when Colin Mansfield Sr., a rich oil tycoon, is murdered. All 9 of the occupants in the house have been told to gather in the living room for questioning. Each one will be pulled aside for interrogation and will tell Mitchell their version of what happened that night. The player decides in which order the interviews will take place. After all of them have been questioned, the player chooses which person will be arrested. The game has multiple endings depending upon who is incarcerated for the homicide.
The game features limited interaction by mouse. Choose the individual suspects; watch the interviews; decide who is lying and who is telling the truth and then which one Mitchell will to take into custody.
A fee must be paid to play the game and payment allows access to the bonus footage (a behind-the-scenes documentary and a photo gallery). Your payment gives you 96 hours (4 days) to solve the case.
The game was available first as an on-line browser game. Later it was released on DVD to be played on a standard DVD player.
