A spellcaster is chosen by the Guardians of Cosmos to compete for power over all nature.
Myth Match is a marble shooter game with a fantasy theme. The objective is to control a spellcaster, moving sideways at the bottom of the screen, and shoot gems from the wand at a series of multi-colored spherical jewels, to make matches of three or more of the same color and make them disappear. The jewelry line rolls on twisting tracks occupying most of the screen, being pushed by an enemy character and moving towards an exit hole. If three or more enter the exit, the player loses a life and the level has to be replayed, and the game is over after all the lives are spent. A meter at the top fills with each match, and the level can be finished when it is full.
At the start, the player can choose between two characters, each with a unique set of power-ups. The wizard has more destructive powers, fitting his aggressive style. The sorceress has strategic powers, aimed at creating huge combos and lining up jewels rather than quickly destroying them. The powers fall from the line after making successive matches, and have to be collected along with any falling piece of gold and treasure for bonus points, or thirty crystals for extra lives before disappearing at the bottom. Both characters have the color bomb that destroys all jewels that match its color, the petrify spell that stops the line for a few seconds, the weaken spell that slows the speed of the gems, the confusion spell that moves the line backwards, the bomb that explodes the jewels surrounding its landing spot and the mimic spell that matches any color.
The wizard has the fate shot, that acts as a guided missile automatically hitting the best place in the chain, the storm call that destroys gems with a tornado, the color cloud that turns a line of spheres to the same color, and the destruct spell that removes a group of mixed jewels. The sorceress has the willed shot that can be controlled to hit anywhere in the line, the fire rain that showers meteors burning several random gems, the phantom shot that teleports some spheres to the start of the track, and the frostbite that shoots shards of ice.
In the main adventure mode, the goal is to complete sets of levels to form constellations that give blessings. The blessings are related to elemental powers like water and air, and up to three can be selected to make helpful changes to some game parameters. The survival mode is an endless mode, where the player can choose one of the previously played levels and keep eliminating the infinite amount of jewels for points, until they enter the exit and the game is over. The timed mode has a chronometer that increases with each match, and the objective is to keep filling to avoid running out of time.
