NES Quest is a point-and-click adventure developed with the third version of the AGS engine. The game's protagonist let his cousins borrow his precious NES console and they returned it broken. Devastated, he vows to have it fixed. In order to that, he needs to explore the town and get the help of the local geek Mr. T and Mario himself who retired from plumbing. Interesting inventory items include rotten Chinese food, a Star Wars lightsaber, a bra, fish food and many more. Plenty of references to other games are made, from classic titles to Sam & Max.
The game uses a classic interface. The mouse is used to point while the possible actions are shown in the bottom left corner. Alternately, they can also be selected through hotkeys. The inventory is shown near the bottom right of the screen. The game features retro NES and chiptune music, and localized versions in French and Spanish are also available.
