Night Raveler and the Heartbroken Uruguayans is a browser game about relationships. The player controls The Raveler, a dark figure holding a pair of scissors who acts as the mouse cursor. The backdrop is a number of apartment buildings which are procedurally generated, meaning different for each game, where Uruguayans walk past lighted windows.
Relationships are shown as threads between different windows. Gray ones can be cut with the scissors, while white ones are indestructible. They represent the strength of a bond between two people. The Raveler needs to interfere and cut the grey relationships that do not work but where people are too afraid to break them themselves.
Based on the player's actions, this leads to new bonds, broken hearts or suicide - with three different game endings. Along with the game, the clear sky is filled with stars and at the end the player is given a moon (three colour variants along with the ending) to place somewhere in the sky.
