Game Classification

This freeware remake of the Spanish platform game from 1986 replaces the graphics and sounds with enhanced assets, while keeping the original gameplay intact. The player controls a medieval soldier locked inside a castle for a final test of courage, where he must escape the deadly traps and monstrous enemies to receive his knighthood from the king. The building is a labyrinth of connected chambers, and the hero has to navigate the many rooms of the place to find the exit and win his promotion. The soldier can climb ropes to reach high chambers, and ride lifts to land on lower levels. Walking skeletons, large green ogres and other supernatural creatures wander through the dark halls, ready to attack the intruder. The main character can dispatch the enemies with high kicks, and crouch to avoid flying objects like axes and birds of prey. [source:mobygames]
