Pandemic: Extinction of Man is a remake of the original Pandemic with different gameplay. This version is still turn-based, but the player now has different options to infect people. While the previous version has the player select symptoms to make their disease more lethal, there are only three options to customize their disease, Lethality, Infectivity and Drug Resistance.

This time the player uses points awarded to either build up their virus or choose to spread the virus, infect water supplies or infect airports in order to spread to other countries. The game ends till all mankind is gone or till the virus no longer exists. The countries won't close borders this time around, but instead will try to develop a cure for the disease. The player can stop this by infecting the country and use points to specifically fight the cure or try and infect the entire country in order to halt process of it. [source:mobygames]
