Pirate Poppers Pirate Poppers is a marble shooter game with a pirate theme. Using the mouse, the player controls a cannon that moves sideways at the bottom of the screen. In the main adventure mode, a series of multicolored cannonballs roll on ditch tracks that cover most of the screen, sometimes overlapping each other on labyrinth-like designs. The objective is to destroy these balls before they reach a barrel with skull and crossed swords motif at the end of the tracks, by shooting with the cannon to make matches of three or more of the same color. The cannon stores two balls, that can be switched by right-clicking the mouse. If several balls manage to get inside the barrel, the game is over.

When several balls are destroyed at once, treasures and power-ups fall towards the bottom and can be collected with the cannon. The powers make the line slow, roll the balls backwards, explode multiple balls at the same time and help in similar ways. The treasures add to the final score.

Arcade mode is basically adventure mode with a limited number of lives. In puzzle mode, the objective is to make matches to eliminate a line of stationary cannon balls at the tracks, using the amount of ammunition available. [source:mobygames]
