Pirates: Constructible Strategy Game Online is an on-line turn-based strategy game based on the card game Pirates of the Spanish Main.
The game itself is free to play. Like in Magic: The Gathering players buy packs with a random assortment of ships, crew, monsters and treasures. Players can select their ideal deck from "cards" they own.
The game is played on a map. The goal of each game is to be the first player to have shipped over half of the map's gold reserve to your harbor. Each ship has a certain number of squares it can move each turn as well as a amount of gold it can hold in its holds. Last but not least a ship has a number of masts which equals its number of cannons. These cannons can be used to fire at enemy ships. When the fire is a hit one mast (and canon) is removed from the ship that was hit. When all masts are removed the ship is helpless and its holds are divided into two between the attacker and the original owner. It is also possible to ram and enter a ship. Players then get to kill crew members and or take gold from the holds. When things go wrong a third ship can be ordered to tow the entered ship away or as a last measure the ship can be sunk so that all gold on board is lost.
All battles are resolved by a virtual dice. The number of masts on yous ship positively influence the rolls. The game is shown in full 3D and the players can zoom in and out at will.
