The second game to be released by indie game developer Cobra Blade. Powerslam is a wrestling game that features an entirely fictional roster of anime wrestlers.
There are 18 wrestlers to choose from and 10 different match types to play. The main game mode (Tournament Mode) you guide a character through a total of 48 matches each harder than the last. Completing the entire Tournament unlocks an editor that allows the player to completely edit all existing wrestlers from their appearance to their moves and stats as well as create new wrestlers.
Exhibition Mode is a free mode that allows the player to set up any match type they want and select any wrestlers they want. The player can also choose to control one of them or just watch the match in this mode.
The 10 match types available in the Exhibition mode are:One on One - A standard match between two wrestlers.Free for All - A match between three wrestlers. The first to score a pin or submission wins.Four Corners - A match between four wrestlers. The first to score a pin or submission wins.Two on Two - Two teams of two face off until both opponents are eliminated.Submission - A match between two wrestlers. The only way to win is via submission.Best of Three - The first wrestler to score two pins or submissions wins the match.Iron Man - The winner is the one with the most pins/submissions after 15 minutes.Deathmatch - The ring gets loaded with weapons. The only way to win is by KO.First Blood - A match where the first to get bloodied up loses.Battle Royal - An eight man elimination match.
