Game Classification

Pteroglider is a fast and hectic vertically-scrolling space shooter. The player controls a small craft through the keyboard and uses the mouse to aim and shoot. The left mouse button fires bullets and the right mouse button is used to launch a limited amount of rockets. Set in a futuristic space environment, the game consists of four different levels, with sub and main bosses next to regular waves of enemies. Players can move their ship over the entire screen. The bottom of the screen shows the amount of rockets left, a life and gun energy bar, and the life and gun regeneration level. Destroyed ships leave behind bonuses such as stars (extra points), full life or energy, energy boost, life or energy upgrade, a bomb that clears the entire screen, bingo bonuses, extra lives, extra rockets, a rocket boost or gun upgrades to increase the amount of bullets fired.

After completing the four levels, they are repeated with increased difficulty introducing more and faster enemies. Scores are stored in profiles and can be uploaded online for comparison. [source:mobygames]
