While Peter and Sofia were on vacation, Nana called asking a little help at her pet adoption center. Her doctor said she was overworked and told her to take a vacation. Now Peter and Sofia will have to take care of her shop while she's gone, also taking care of the new pet she brought home to care for adoption.
Purrfect Pet Shop is an action game which simulates a pet shop. As Sofia or Peter, the player has to take care of pets left for adoption before matching them with possible new owners. The gameplay consists in clicking on customers and then clicking in the pets which would match their wished traits. One of four traits (fur length, fur color, size and type: cat or dog) will appear to the player, while others can be revealed by clicking in "?" marks. Asking for those hints will take time, and customers are willing to pay more for the pets the quicker they're attended. Some pets need care before being adopted, like being fed, given water, washed or receiving medical attention. Before giving them to the customers, the player has to click on the animal and click in the respective care needed: the food dispenser, the water cooler, the bath tub and the medical station. Each need takes time to be taken care, and the more the customers waits, the less they'll be willing to pay. Delivering a pet without one of those needs attended will make customers pay less money for it. Each day a money goal has to be reached. Failing that goal will make Sofia or Peter lose a life.
The money earned can be used in between levels to buy new equipment for the pet shop, like new food dispensers, water coolers, medical stations, additional bath tubs, chairs and threadmills to build Sofia or Peter's speed. Earning more money is necessary as the stages go by due to the higher goals to be reached, and the faster the customers are attended, the higher is the amount of money earned.
Peter or Sofia have also to take care of a special pet Nana just brought to the center for adoption. This pet is customizable, and pictures of it can be taken. Throughout the game they'll have to take care of it, building their their trust with it, so it can be adopted by the end of the game. The trust built is measured by hearts earned by attending the animal's need, like giving it food, water, baths, trips, etc. Hearts collected can also be used with money to buy new items for the pet, like premium food, special trips and toys.
The game has a total of 60 levels and four difficulty levels.
