Race 07 builds on the features of the previous Race PC game. In addition to the regular World Touring Car Championship (a mostly European series featuring makes like Alfa Romeo, BMW, Chevrolet, Honda, Peugeot, and Seat), several other exotic, overlooked series can be experienced as well. The Caterham series features light, open-air, vintage style cars from England. The Radical RS3 and RS4 series are like Caterham, but with more modern cars. The MINI series features, naturally, MINI Coopers for the racetrack.
There are single-seater cars too - The Formula BMW series is an entry point for junior racers into the world of F1, and Formula 3000 continues that lineage. These two championships both feature visor grubbiness, requiring you to peel away a tear-off strip, just as a real racer would. Finally, there is the classic 1987 season of the WTCC. If you can't decide, you can mix cars and classes together as you please.
Gameplay and graphics are similar to the previous Race game, with an emphasis on realism. Race 07 continues the detailed damage physics, and offers a customizable level of adherence to series rules and car features - tire wear, mechanical failures and automatic gearboxes can all be turned on and off. Both single-player, against computer AI or a ghost car, and online multi-player are available. The number of tracks has grown as well. There are 32 in all, with both race tracks and city loops.
