Game Classification

The Race is a hidden object game with a reality TV theme. As in all the games of this genre, the main objective is to find the objects from a list at the right side of the screen.

The game has two modes. The world explorer mode is the solo mode, while in challenge mode the player competes against computer players (a racing line appears at the bottom of the screen showing the position of each player).

Special tools, placed under the objects list, help the player on the search. The magnifying glass zooms in any part of the screen, the hot and cold cursor gets ignited when near one of the required objects, the compass points towards them, the target shows their position. At the start of each round there's one of each tool available, with the exception of the magnifying glass that can be used at any time for free.

In world explorer mode, extra tools can be earned by finding the bonus objects shown at the bottom of the screen in silhouette. In challenge mode, the game grants extra tools every few minutes. Wrong clicks make the cursor disappear for five seconds. [source:mobygames]
