Former Marine Jack Hard now does diving trips for a living. One day he explores a base, that turns out to be a research centre controlled by the United Arms terrorist movement, which has discovered a new source of power on the sea bed.

Red Ocean is a pure First-Person Shooter with a very unusual setting - an underwater base remaining from the Cold War. Taking the role of Jack Hard, players must run, dive and shoot through this dangerous environment. The levels will take Jack above and below the surface, which includes complex hallways and underground transport bases. Different guns include a futuristic plasma rifle, which can be tuned throughout the game and include secondary fire power-ups. Jack can also use objects as weapons, with realistic physics acting on them. Bosses at the end of each level add to the challenge, in manner unusual in the FPS genre. [source:mobygames]
